James has worked with Shell for 20 years leading various programs in Trading, Supply, Project and Technologies businesses. The past 5 years he has been a member of the GameChanger team working directly with incubation/acceleration programs around the world to identify top energy related start-up companies. Helping those start-ups to de-risk and commercialize technology that will drastically impact the future of energy. Recently relocating to India, from Houston, Texas, to lead the launch of the Shell E4 program.

Digvijay Desai

Community Manager, Shell E4

Dig” has worked for Shell in a variety of roles in different countries. This has given him a broad exposure to the energy business and an insight into our value drivers. Prior to Shell he worked at an energy start-up for several years giving him a close view of Indian start-up environment experiencing first-hand the challenges faced by Indian Start-ups.  He is looking forward to working closely with the Shell E4 cohorts to help them derive the maximum benefit from the programme

Romina Chatterjee

Marketing Manager, Shell E4

Romina has worked with Shell for several years and holds an MBA in Marketing from ISB, Hyderabad. She has held various roles within marketing and more recently, has played a pivotal role in positioning one of our lines of business – Shell Business Operations very strongly in the global external market and in building pride internally within the organization. She brings to the table high levels of energy, strategic thinking, creativity and a repertoire of marketing skills which she will utilize to ensure that the programme and its participants succeed.

Subhrajit Dey

Principal Advisor – Game Changer & Research Connect

Subhrajit joined Shell in 2015 as Manager – Continuous Improvement & Performance Excellence (IG Operations). In his role, he focused on driving analytics & benchmarking based decisions on asset performance KPIs, both internally & with the ventures.   Before joining Shell, Subhrajit was with GE Global Research for 14 years. He took up several responsibilities in technology R&D for the Aviation, Energy and Oil & Gas businesses. Some of his key technology contributions have been in lines of turbo-fan engines, frames of gas turbines, advanced steam turbines, wind turbines, GaN, multiphase flow technologies & linear compressor.  He has 60+ publications incl. classifieds, 15+ patents & has delivered several invited talks in national & international forums. Subhrahit will lead external relations for Shell E4, working to identify partners for the program and program participants.

Siddhart Mehta

Deal Analyst, Shell E4

Siddharth joined Shell in 2012 and has 10 years of techno-financial experience in the energy and real asset space. Prior to joining the Shell E4 start-up Hub, he was Project Services Interface Manager, leading cost, schedule and risk analysis for upstream projects and new business development deals. Siddharth did his electrical engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Before joining the Start-up Hub, he did a short stint with a Private Equity fund and also mentored a renewable energy start-up focused on southern African countries.

Edna Lamden

Community Administrator, Shell E4

Edna is a Bangalorean with Bachelors in Commerce, comes with around 14 years of working experience in the administration field.   Formally working as office manager with an international software as a service company and as Secretary/ Company admin for an International Law firm.   Both companies experienced tremendous growth from start-ups to global players during the time Edna was with them.  Edna will work closely with the start-ups and help in making the programme a success.
