Curious by nature, Abhijit believes in timely and firm decision making, values optimism and stability. Prior to joining Shell E4 Startup Hub, Abhijit was responsible for building Digital Strategy and managing Venture Projects primarily for Shell India lubricants E-commerce business. He was instrumental in driving some of the key digital business models and worked closely with tech-enabled startups. Abhijit holds an MBA from IIM Bangalore. His personal interest lies in the domain of ecommerce, logistics, digital, consumer services.

Venkat Raju

Venkat is an Angel Investor, Mentor & Advisor to Startups | Board Director | Strategy Consultant, especially around startup-led Corporate Innovation & Digital Transformation. His past experiences include: Silicon Valley Entrepreneur & CEO | Wall Street Executive | Product Management & Tech Leadership at F500 & Tech companies in the U.S & Europe | Strategy Consultant in U.S | MD & CEO of technology companies in India. Most recently he was the CEO of India’s leading Corporate Accelerator which has now become TechStars India.

Karen Lobo

Community Administrator, Shell E4

Karen is responsible for Administrative Operations of the E4 Startup-Hub. In this role, she takes care of Directorial Tasks of the General Manager and the E4 Team. She serves as the focal point representing E4 within Shell, and external stakeholders for day to day activities. She is also the “go-to person” within our team for issues faced by our Startups during their time at the hub. She has a data background and strong analytical skills based on her experience as a Senior Market Analyst & Content Quality Analyst at Thomson Reuters. Karen has a degree in Economics and well versed with automation and related tools.

James Unterreiner

General Manager, Shell E4

James has worked with Shell for 20 years leading various programs in Trading, Supply, Project and Technologies businesses. The past 5 years he has been a member of the GameChanger team working directly with incubation/acceleration programs around the world to identify top energy related start-up companies. Helping those start-ups to de-risk and commercialize technology that will drastically impact the future of energy. Recently relocating to India, from Houston, Texas, to lead the launch of the Shell E4 program.

Digvijay Desai

Community Manager, Shell E4

Dig” has worked for Shell in a variety of roles in different countries. This has given him a broad exposure to the energy business and an insight into our value drivers. Prior to Shell he worked at an energy start-up for several years giving him a close view of Indian start-up environment experiencing first-hand the challenges faced by Indian Start-ups.  He is looking forward to working closely with the Shell E4 cohorts to help them derive the maximum benefit from the programme

Siddhart Mehta

Deal Analyst, Shell E4

Siddharth joined Shell in 2012 and has 10 years of techno-financial experience in the energy and real asset space. Prior to joining the Shell E4 start-up Hub, he was Project Services Interface Manager, leading cost, schedule and risk analysis for upstream projects and new business development deals. Siddharth did his electrical engineering from IIT Delhi and an MBA from Columbia Business School. Before joining the Start-up Hub, he did a short stint with a Private Equity fund and also mentored a renewable energy start-up focused on southern African countries.

Our Hub

The Shell E4 Hub is located in the Shell Technology Centre Bangalore, which provides start-ups with round-the-clock proximity to Shell subject matter experts and advisors who can help them develop or refine their products.
